PEM is a new ritual, devised by Angela Dorrer specially for Messestadt Riem. The idea is that a resident 'manages' a day in the life of a person of his or her choice. With the help of rules and suggestions, and of an 'activity suitcase' containing a Polaroid camera and a city guide, Dorrer promotes new ways of enriching a friendship. Souvenirs recording each day 'given' to someone in this way will be kept in Messestadt in an attempt to strengthen community bonds.
