‘Coloured banners will begin appearing at the windows of Messestadt Riem today. Part of an art event organised by the Department for Public Appearances, they bear the following messages: ‘I love Messestadt Riem’, ‘It’ll all come right in the end’, ‘Yes, but...’, ‘Here today, gone tomorrow’ and ‘Messestadt Riem – no thanks’. The organisers will explain to Messestadt Riem residents the ideas behind this way of gauging public opinion at a meeting of the Riemer Runde on 16.09.2003.
